About
Peg Peterson is a retired legislative attorney and certified health and life coach who now spends her time teaching courses in her areas of expertise and organizing events to promote healthy lifestyle practices.
After receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she competed on the UCF waterski team, Peg moved to Texas and became a member of the Texas Legislative Council research division staff. She then earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in Austin, and ended up returning to TLC as a member of the legal division staff. During her 20-plus years of service at TLC, Peg specialized in the areas of criminal law, drugs and intoxication, and corrections, drafting and reviewing bills on topics such as concealed carry, sex offender registration, and the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Peg retired from TLC when there was a health crisis in her family, and she decided to devote her full time to managing that crisis. In the process, she became certified as both a health and life coach and began organizing events to provide opportunities for creative healthcare providers to share their information and arrive at better solutions. Peg is very community minded, enjoys the outdoors, and loves connecting with people who are eager to offer ideas that just might help our population.
